Life and Death
Journal Entry: Thu Oct 30, 2008, 1:28 PM
- Mood:
Emotional - Listening to: nothing, really
- Reading: the email from sam's dad
- Watching: nothing
- Drinking: peach ice tea
A friend of mine passed away last night, I just got an email from his dad. He was only 20 years old, but had DMDD (the most damaging form of muscular distrophy). I can only imagine what his family is going through, but they had to know he wouldn't live for long. I am just unspeakably sad and somewhat overwhelmed. I wrote a livejournal entry some time ago about how he probably wouldn't live to see 20, but that it made me value my own life even more, and my own ordinaries, like walking, even more. I am so glad that I was wrong, and he at least got to see 20.
